The Mairos hit-maker tied up loose ends of his new album titled Kutsemurirana two months ago, but his plan to launch the project and allow it to trend on the music bars has been severely affected by lack of money.

The tittle track Kutsemurirana, which Sugar Sugar has sampled during live shows, always sends multitudes into delirium each time it’s belted out.

In an interview with The Standard Style a couple of days back, the celebrated musician said sponsorhsip woes were spoiling his planned big day.

“Everything is set for the launch and dates will be announced as soon as we find a sponsor or music promoter,” Sugara Sugar said.

“However, there appears to be problems in me finding a reliable stakeholder to work with.”

The sungura crooner said the sponsors and promotters who had approached him “have not passed my test of seriousness and honesty.“

“I am now a seasoned musician and have seen a lot. The people who have so far come to me and offered to bankroll the project do not seem genuine, but are only bound to exploit my talent. That is why I have not fallen for their bids.”

Sugar Sugar, however, was quick to ally fears among his fans that the new album might not see the light of day.

“My fans should just relax and be patient. We will soon be on cloud nine. I am confident that very soon the launch will kick off because of late there have been some improvements in the work to see the event rolling,” he said.
