The Centurion Pub and Grill has a rich and a colourful ambiance, thanks to Harare Sports Club, which brings together people of different cultures through sport.

Next Saturday, Harare Sports Club hosts local franchise cricket pitting Matabeleland Tuskers and Mashonaland Eagles and it will be a hive of activity at The Centurion Pub and Grill.
The pub and grill, which over the years has proven to be a popular rendezvous for sport enthusiasts, imbibers and diners, overlooks the cricket ground at Harare Sports Club.
“There are loads of kids’ entertainment plus food and booze when Matabeleland Tuskers play Mashonaland Eagles in the local franchise cricket on December 1,” said The Centurion Pub and Grill manager Jackie Nettelton.
“We are working with Zimbabwe Cricket to promote local franchise tournaments. One would not understand the importance of supporting this, but this is how and where we identify our future stars for the national team. Let alone, our current national players will be featuring as well depending on which part of Zimbabwe they are from.”
Nettelton said there were an array of activities planned ahead of the festive season.
“We have a Castle Lite party on December 8 where Castle Lite would be sold at ‘pump-price’. There would be free sampling of the Castle Lite draught beer as well. All in cooperation with Delta Beverages,” she said.

Famed for its potpourri of entertainment throughout the week, ranging from quiz nights to karaoke nights with the large chunk of the week being reserved for music, The Centurion is one of the most frequented entertainment venues in Harare.
Access to the pub and grill is not restricted to members, but is open to the public.
Nettelton said the pub and grill would host the annual beerfestival in January next year.
