The 10-track offering, which was produced by Munya Vialy and South Africa-based Allie Keys, comes almost two years after his last project titled Game Changer.

In an interview with The Standard Style on Friday, Dondo described the project as an effort to revert back to his sound from which he had diverted in a collaborative journey to try out other styles.

“As I was growing in music I experimented a lot with different styles doing collaborations. But on this album I worked very hard to get back to our original sound, which I started with,” he said.

“We did a few collabos during the year, but I am not putting them on this album because it is strictly my sound and nothing else. For those who recall the sound we had on our first album, that is what we tried to bring back.”

The album consists of songs titled Maturikwa, Kusekwa Nenyika, Ushe Madzoro, Dondo Ndini, Nherera and I am Only Human, among others.

“People should look out for the whole album because I promise that everyone will get their own favourite,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dondo intends to tour the nation next year to reconnect with his followers after a long time without performing locally.

“I have been quiet and now it’s payback time, I know my fans were missing me, but after this launch I will be touring the country, dishing out the music,” he said.
