To kick the ball rolling, the latest entertainment movement, twerking dance, which has swiftly taken Mutare by storm, will be staged tonight. Various dancers will be taking turns to entertain the audience through their twerking expertise.

On December 23 and 24, dancers from Zimbabwe will clash with those from South Africa in what promises to be the show of a lifetime.

The pole dancing craze, exotic pole-dancing, has literally taken revellers by storm. Of late pole dancing at Club Mandisa has been a major drawcard as patrons have been flocking to the venue.

On Christmas Day, local DJs and resident Mandisa Kings and Queens will be taking charge.

On Boxing Day, ZORA music genius Zhakata, who has released a single called Game Changer, will cap the Christmas proceedings.

Zhakata, who is a well-known lyricist blessed with a superlative voice, a fortnight ago availed the single that has already received complimentary reviews on the airwaves and showbiz.

The single has been described by many pundits as a scorcher that has put Zhakata back at the top echelons of musical glory following its signature fast beat that has propelled the musician to dizzy heights.

In an interview with The Standard Style on Wednesday, local promoter and Club Mandisa director Boniface Nyamanhindi said all was set for the Christmas celebrations.

“We are ready for the Christmas celebrations. We have an exciting menu of entertainers. We are inviting all our patrons to come in their numbers and enjoy the festivities in style,” he said.

“We have pole dancers from South Africa and they will be clashing with those from Zimbabwe and we are looking forward to a great show.”
