Bulawayo model Thando Dube has urged other models and fellow females to embrace their natural look and not resort to skin-lightening, commonly known as bleaching.
Talking to Standard Style on the sidelines of a photoshoot, the model who was sporting her natural hair, said she loves expressing her natural being.
“I am young and confident in my natural being. I believe being natural gives women a cutting edge on looks and I am comfortable with my skin, on which I don’t apply lightening creams to be a ‘yellow bone”, Dube said.
“I have been sporting this short and natural hairstyle for some time and I have been feeling good about it and it feels free and refreshing over the artificial braids and wigs. I urge females to take pride in their natural beauty, God made us the way we are for a reason.”
The model said she enjoys conversations with the camera lenses.
“I like taking pictures, I never go a day without documenting my day, outfit or my daily errands with pictures. I like doing photoshoots and have deep conversations with the camera lenses every time I do shoots,” she said.
