THOUSANDS of residents in Chitungwiza are flocking to attend church services at New Revelations Glass House Ministries International following the life-changing testimonies that are in abundance at the church in Chitungwiza.

Church leader and founder Bishop Ancelem Takaedza (pictured) told Standard Style that the house of God was not about numbers, but doing the good work that God had called him to do.

Takaedza added that he was always filled with joy for being the vessel of God’s power that helps to heal and transform people’s lives, as shown recently by a woman who overcame a cancerous condition that she had lived with for some time.

The woman, Clarah Mandishona (28), broke into tears of joy as she narrated how the hand of God had healed her of cervical cancer three weeks ago after her sister, who is based in the United Kingdom, had advised her to attend services at Takaedza’s church.

“I was experiencing pelvic pains and excessive bleeding and went for a VIAC [visual inspection with acetic acid and camera] test at New Start Centre. My sister in the UK told me to go and seek the Lord at Bishop Takaedza’s church,” Mandishona said.

“The man of God prayed for me and one Sunday, he preached that healing was a matter of one’s faith, it begins with you.. you are the prophet of your life.”

Mandishona went home and began to pray, on the third day she went to the New Start Centre again for tests, they could not find anything wrong with her, she was healed.

“There is grace of God in this church, the power in the bishop’s sermon which I took heed of and did as instructed healed me and I thank God for this healing,” she said.

A 67-year-old woman, Anna Chibwana of Zengeza 1, was healed 10 years ago after suffering for a long time with pain in her right leg, which doctors advised should be amputated. “I used to pretend to be picking up a stone when I was walking so that people would not see the excruciating pain that I was experiencing, but now I can walk like a young girl,” she said.

Theresa Ruzive Nyanga (28), who stays in Unit O, Seke in the town, said she came to the church after she could not give birth for 10 years. She said her marriage was prayed for and now she has a baby girl born last year.

The bishop with his wife Margaret Takaedza constructed a unique church building, which consists mostly of glass.

Margaret, who is the founder of Woman of Standard Ministries under the New Revelation Glass House Ministries International, is passionate about women empowerment, which is part of the church’s mission of women through gospel-inspired initiatives.

For her, women empowerment matrix is never complete without achieving an independent, enterprising and well-mannered and God-fearing woman.

The church is situated at Stand No 17920, Mubvumira Road in Zengeza 1.
