RISING sungura music artiste Romeo Gasa is expected to take his popular song — Mr Brown — to Mutare fans next Saturday at Club Mandisa.

Gasa, a bass guitarist of note, is currently enjoying support from fans of the hugely followed sungura music with the song Mr Brown.

The plug track is from his latest album Code 263 that was released last year.

The song fared well on Radio Zimbabwe and National FM Top 20 charts.

Gasa, whose stock in sungura music circles is rising, is backed by Extra Valembe.

The group has never disappointed during live shows and as usual Gasa and his crew are expected to be at their usual best.

Show promoter Boniface Nyamanhindi said they were ready for the potentially explosive show.

“As a club, we are ready to host such a high-profile sungura star. It is our pleasure to continue bringing top shows at the club,” said Nyamanhindi.

Club Mandisa has been hosting diversified shows including various music genres.

“We cater for all music genres and we have realised and appreciated that sungura music has a big following,” he said.

Nyamanhindi said the show was one of the major gigs lined up for this winter season.

“We are in the winter season and this show is a perfect warm-up as we shake off the colds associated with winter,” he explained.

Gasa was upbeat ahead of the show.

“We are ready for the show. We are highly geared to entertain our fans in Mutare. We have a huge following and it is that time again to meet and enjoy,” he said.

Extra Valembe dancers are well known for producing polished acts and the Club Mandisa show next Saturday is another promising outing.
