ZORA musician Leonard Karikoga Zhakata will be back in Mutare tonight where he will perform at Club Mandisa.

LKZee, as Zhakata is fondly known in music circles, last performed at the same venue in May and left the crowds awestruck with his breathtaking acts on stage, backed by his illustrious Zimbabwe All Stars entourage.

Veteran dancer Wasu and her Syndicate Girls will be the supporting act alongside Mandisa Kings Queens who are the resident entertainers.

What makes this show unique is the fact that Zhakata will play songs from his forthcoming album, which has been putting his multitudes of fans on tender hooks.

The Hupenyu Mutoro hit maker who is a well-known lyricist blessed with a superlative voice last released an album — Game Changer — last year in September.

Of late he has been playing the song Mupendero Wenguva, which is a favourite among show goers.

As usual hits like Mugove, Hupenyu Mutoro, Unochemei, Yeukai, Gomba Remarara, Mwenza and Batai Mazwi are expected to take the audience to another level of enjoyment.

Show promoter Boniface Nyamanhindi said Zhakata was back in Mutare by public demand.

“As you know, we had Zhakata in May and many fans were thrilled by his performance. This is the main reason why we have brought him back. We are just fulfilling the demands of our huge audience,” said Nyamanhindi.

“We are ready for the show and we are inviting everyone to come and watch a great musician in action. There is no doubt that Zhakata is a legend and it is good to come and watch him performing.”

The audience will be in for a treat as they will relish the Zimbabwe All Stars stage act laden with scintillating choreography.
