Local gospel musician Farai Makandanje, popularly known in music circles as Social Doctor (pictured above), says he is taking advantage of information and communication technology to promote his music.

Last week, the musician, who is riding high following the release of his second album titled Kufanana NaJesu, launched a website.

“The idea is to ensure that fans get information and everything they need to know about Social Doctor Music,” the musician said.

The gospel crooner is also making use of online media platforms to promote his products.

“We will be launching an online store on the website soon and fans can buy our music and merchandise from the website,” he said.

“Bookings and ticket sales for events will be done from the website as well.”

The album carries eight tracks including Jehovha Pindirai, Vauya Baba, Unoda Shoko, Mari, Dai Waramba Uripo, Dzingori Nyasha, which features Blessing Shumba, Gabhurona and Nyarara Kuchema.

“We made sure that the album is available in most towns throughout the country as well as on all social media platforms. The album was produced by five producers,” Social Doctor said.

His debut album titled Munoshamisa was released late last year and produced by veteran Lyton Ngolomi at Lyton Studios. The backing vocals were done by gospel diva Bethen Pasinawako- Ngolomi.

The track Gabhurona, which is proving popular within gospel music circles, is about a character called Gabhurona, who is representing Christians who are not fully committed and it urges him to repent.
