Local gospel musician Tembalami Tagwirei, simply known in music circles as Tembalami, will today lead a group of gospel musicians for a music show dubbed End of Year Shutdown Fair.

The show, which according to the organisers is fun and exploratory for the family, will be held at Alex Sports Club in Harare.

A hodgepodge of activities is lined up for the day which will be spiced by performances by Tembalami, gospel musician-cum-actress Madam Boss and wheel spinner DJ Unlocked.

“This is a family event and we encourage parents to come with their kids because there will be an array of activities for the whole family,” said Tembalami, one of the organisers.

Activities lined up for the day include jumping castles, balloon festival and ice cream factory. There will also be Zumba, braai, food and a raffle on the event which kicks off at 11am.

“I want to assure families that there will be tight security and they should come for the family treat as we start celebrating the festive season,” Tembalami said.

Meanwhile, top gospel musicians Pastor Charles Charamba, Mathias Mhere, Michael Mahendere and Mambo Dhuterere will on New Year’s Day perform at a charity concert dubbed Worship Experience at the Harare International Conference Centre.

According to the show organisers, Kayse Connect, the event is meant to generate funds for children who suffer from Duchenne muscular dystrophy and are admitted at the Duchenne Outreach for Care in Odzi, Manicaland province.

What makes this event exciting is the inclusion of man of the moment Mambo Dhuterere on the star-studded list of performers.

Mambo Dhuterere, born Darlington Mutseta, is riding high following the release of his latest offering Dare Guru.

Veteran gospel musician Charamba, Mhere and Minister Mahendere do not disappoint when it comes to live performances.
