Titled And Have Dominion, the book is deliberately aimed at self motivation.

Zimbabwe is endowed with resources and these include minerals, livestock, tourism centres and, most importantly, land for agriculture.

Madzimbamuto bemoans the donor dependency syndrome in Zimbabwe, arguing that locals could use what is within their means to empower themselves economically.

The book adopts a Pan Africanist stance in the likes of the writings of Steve Biko, Ngugi waThiongo and Tafataona Mahoso, among many other authors whose message is to empower Africans using indigenous methods and available resources.

Speaking on the sidelines of the book launch in Harare recently, Madzimbamuto said his experience as an attorney and his zeal to empower fellow Zimbabweans motivated him to write this book.

“As an attorney, I have witnessed people lose what they have worked for in the blink of an eye because they failed to invest or were only dependent on their jobs,” Madzimbamuto said.

“This book talks about the need to adopt entrepreneurship in fighting poverty in Africa.”

Esteem Communications head of design Walter Chiyanja commended the author for being involved in all stages of consultancy leading to the publication of his debut book.

“Madzimbamuto has been a joy to work with because he was highly involved in all stages of his book from editing to cover designs,” he said.

“His zeal to empower people to escape poverty is seen in his message as well as his own life.

“We are proud to be associated with him as we work to further market and make sure this book reaches all corners of the world.”

And Have Dominion is Madzimbamuto’s debut book, which can be taken as a handbook to eradicate poverty from the micro to the macrocosmic sphere in the continent.
