The six cases were recorded in the capital Harare, which has become the coronavirus or Covid-19 hotpot with 19 cases.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health and Child Care recorded two new cases in the second largest city of Bulawayo, which now has 12 cases.
One of the cases was that of a 70 year-old man, who returned from the United Kingdom on March 18 and was tested as a contact of case number 14.
Case number 34, a 27 year-old man had no history of travel, but came into contact with case number 33.
“Both cases are recovering under self-isolation at home,” the ministry said in the latest updated.
Zimbabwe has so far carried out 7 642 tests for coronavirus and there is growing concern that the government is not testing enough people to slow down the spread of the disease that was first detected in China late year.
