Gospel musician and guitar virtuoso Josh Meck last Saturday gave an impressive performance beamed live on Ngoda TV and other online platforms.

The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in the cancellation of musical gigs and theatrical performances as well as closure of night clubs in the country, compelling merrymakers to stay home under lockdown.

This has seen promoters and artistes going out of their way to find ways to entertain the fun-starved public.

Artistes are taking to the internet to livestream performances, concerts, DJ sets and even mini-festivals in an effort to fill the live entertainment void created by Covid-19.

Meck last week put on a sterling performance that lasted for an almost an hour.

The reverred instrumentalist, now a born-again, belted songs from his yet-to-be released album much to the delight of the viewers.

Backed by his band Afrique Worship, Meck unbolted his power-driven performance with the hit songs Chitsike, Baba Varikudenga, Minana and other worship songs.

Fellow artistes Edith weUtonga, Derrick Mpofu and Aga Nyabinde were left in awe after Meck’s performance and urged him to remain steadfast in his new calling.

Meck thanked Ngoda TV for giving him a platform to showcase his talent to his fans in and outside the country.

“I want to thank Ngoda TV for giving me a platform to showcase my talent. I also want to thank my fans who are supporting me in this musical journey. Above all, I thank God for giving me this gift which I’m using to preach His Word to the people,” said Meck.

“This is good music,” said a fan, Lenea Mharadzo, who was watching the live-streaming.

Meck’s show, which clocked thousands of views on Ngoda TV, was his second during the lockdown as he previously appeared in a similar show that was hosted by Star FM.
