Gospel musician Tafadzwa Ncube (pictured below) has roped in preacher-cum-musician Prophet Tapiwa Freddy on his latest album titled Mapopoma which was released last Tuesday.

Ncube told Standard Style last week that his latest offering had so far been well-received by many fans across the country.

“This album is getting support from fans across the country,” Ncube said.

“I think it’s because the songs have deep meaning and encourage people to be strong in prayer during these hard times.”

Prophet Freddy — who also is riding high with his fifth album titled Area 1 — features on Ncube’s album on the song titled Tarisa Kumusoro.

Other artistes featured on the album include Munyaradzi Munodawafa, Agatha Murudzwa and Kudzi Nyakudya.

Tracks on the album include Mapopoma, Munda Wezvivi, Africa Unite, Munenyasha, Zita Rinesimba, Jerusalem and Zimukwende.

Ncube said he was working on the visuals and fans should expect videos very soon.

“I am expecting to release videos for the album very soon,” Ncube said.

Fondly known as Lasper in music circles, Ncube started his music journey in 2013 as an Afro-jazz musician.

However, four years later he took a different path opting to sing gospel music which saw him releasing his first album titled Chiriko Chikomo.

He is following in the footsteps of the late Oliver Mtukudzi in trying to make a global presence.

“I want to put my province Mashonaland Central on the map as I try to aim higher and get global recognition like the late Oliver Mtukudzi and Alick Macheso,” Ncube said.

He expressed gratitude to Kangara Gold Buyers who have supported him.

“I want to thank Kangara Gold Buyers for supporting my music and I will continue to produce more music as way of spreading the Word of God to people,” he said.
