Faith Candy basks in award glory

VERSATILE artiste-cum-beautician  Faith Naphazi, aka Faith Candy (pictured), who scooped the Best Online Business award at the recently held Sadc Success Awards in Bulawayo, is on cloud nine following the recognition thanks to her beauty products business that she launched last year.

Faith Candy told Standard Style that winning the Best Online Business award was a sign that her brand had been accepted by the market.

“I am so excited not only because this is my first award, but it tells me that many people have faith in my products,” she said.

“It’s not easy to introduce a product or brand and have people accepting it. It means a lot.

“I want to thank all those who voted for the brand. I dedicate this award to them and my daughter Shaniqua for being the reason why I work hard.

“Although I have worked so hard lately selling all my products online, it was through God that I made it. It was not an easy road. It was not easy to introduce a new product and have people who believe in it. I am so grateful.”

Faith Candy, an actress and musician, said her market had spread beyond the country’s borders.

“Right now, my lotions, soaps and shower gels are all over. I now have customers outside Zimbabwe who receive our products via FedEx. Distance is, therefore, not a barrier for those outside Harare and the country. We can send our products wherever you are.”

The awards, organised by the Young Women in Business, also saw Felistas “Mai Titi” Murata walking away with the Community Champion award, Lee Ann Bernard  (News Anchor), Mudiwa Hood (Charity Ambassador) and Sandra Ndebele (Lifetime Artiste).
