LOCAL company, Busy 24 Towing and Crane Services, which offers towing services, is moving a notion of empowering youths in the southern region of the country.
Towing is coupling two or more objects together so that they may be pulled by a designated power source or sources.
The towing source may be a motorised land vehicle, vessel, animal, or human, and the load being anything that can be pulled.
Busy 24 offers towing services to cars that would have been involved in accidents or pull illegally parked cars as well as crane services.
The fast-rising company was established last year with the vision of creating employment among youths who had lost their jobs after the halting of many businesses during lockdown.
It came into effect when other towing companies fell out of business recently due to Covid-19. The business, which started in Bulawayo, has expanded its services to Gwanda, Matopos, Gweru and Beitbridge.
Busy 24 Towing and Crane Services manager Lyle Howes said they don’t create employment only, but also nurture youths to become their own businesspersons.

“We started the business in a bid to serve motorists in the city and mostly creating employment for the youths after most of them lost jobs during lockdown,” Howes said.
“We are happy that Busy 24 is now home to many young and innovative youths who have come up with new ways of doing business.
“It’s not just employment that we are offering, but also life skills that nurtures youths into businesspeople in their own right, as we want to breed leaders, not workers.”
Howes added: “We are happy that we have extended our operations to surrounding areas such as Gwanda, Beitbridge, Gweru, Lupane and Victoria Falls.”
