A 29-YEAR-OLD tout from Mabvuku in Harare was yesterday arraigned before the courts after he allegedly paraded a corpse of his deceased colleague.

Wishes Mukungurutse denied the charge when he appeared before magistrate Denis Mangosi.

He was remanded to June 3 on $5 000 bail.

The State led by prosecutor Lancelot Mutsokoti alleges that on May 16, 2021 at Tafara cemetery, Mukungurutse, together with his accomplices who are still at large, violently and forcibly took a coffin with Romeo Matavire’s corpse from a Nyaradzo Funeral Services vehicle.

The accused persons placed the coffin onto a Wish motor vehicle driven by Mukungurutse.  He then sped off with corpse, skidding with his motor vehicle.
