BUDDING Chegutu-based commercial and photographic model, Yeukai Evelyn Gumbo says the diverse creativity of the world of modelling which awakens her imagination, has been the source of inspiration to venture into pageantry.
The 24-year-old model, signed under Size 4 Modelling Agency, told Standard Style that she was privileged to be pursuing a career in the modelling industry, setting eyes on the global ramp in future.
“My future goal as a model is to build a success-related name in this world of modelling.
“With only a year into the industry, I am happy with what I have already attained. I was crowned Face of Lockdown at a virtually held pageant that was aimed at raising Covid-19 awareness, have featured in the Slim Entertainment Magazine and in the Highlights Reel Magazine,” she said.
Gumbo says negative comments will not pull her down, but will instead turn them into positivity.
“I can best describe myself as a lady bursting with creativity, full of curiosity for the ‘out of ordinary’, passionate about my talents and blessed with the ability to embrace people’s differences.”
Gumbo is currently studying towards a degree in Geography and Environmental Studies at Midlands State University.

As a word of advice to aspiring models, Gumbo said: “Modelling is a shortlived career, so one must not wait to get everything in place, start now and do your best with whatever you have.”
