South Africa-based musician Panashe “Master Shekkor” Chambokohas collaborated with SA musician Muungu Queen on a love jam Stay With Me inspired by the latter’s ex-lover.

Muungu Queen real name Sindiswa Shobede was part of the Muungu Africa band before it took a break to allow members to pursue solo careers.

Master Shekkor who is also a musician told Standard Style that despite having parted ways with his ex girlfriend, he was moved to record the song because it would “find a place in lovebirds’ hearts.”

“Although I parted ways with the girl (ex-lover) who inspired me to write to the track, it will still find a place in lovebirds’ hearts. Muungu Queen’s soft and angelic voice makes listeners play it more, singing along,” he said.

“In the track a guy tells his girlfriend to never leave him for another man. He loses sleep thinking about his loved one. Never let her go, the song will warm you up this winter.”

The Afro-house musician said he enjoyed working with Queen Muungu whom he hooked up with on social media.

“It was a wonderful experience working with Muungu since October last year. She is so professional and I got to learn a lot from her although I was the driver of the project. I looked for her on social media and brought a concept which I had in mind already and we started working on the track,” he said.

The disbanded Muungu Africa band produced quite a number of hit songs such as Lazaro which features Busiswa and Niniola and Dali Wami featuring Shumayahit makers”, Trademark.

The band also worked with Zimbabwean music producer DJ Stavo.
