ZIMBABWEAN postal expert, Sifundo Moyo is in line to become the next Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) secretary-general after his candidature for the top continental post was overwhelmingly endorsed by all Sadc member states.

Moyo will square-off with candidates from other countries during the PAPU Plenipotentiary Conference to be hosted by Zimbabwe from June 21-25.

The conference will be held in the resort city of Victoria Falls.

ICT, Postal and Courier Services minister Jenfan Muswere said in addition to fielding Moyo as the candidate for the position, Zimbabwe is going to assume the chair of the PAPU Plenipotentiary Conference for the next four years.
