Fast-rising gospel musician Takudzwa Nyatsoka has courted renowned musician Mathias Mhere on his latest single titled Usatya.

The 27-year-old Marondera based musician told Standard Style that it has always been his dream to have a duet with Mhere.

“I have always admired Mhere’s energy and talent as he is one of the biggest crowd pullers in the country. I am at that point in my music career where I feel it is harvest time, the time to enlarge my territory, hence delighted with the opportunity to work with him,” he said.

The track, recorded at Cymplex Music in Harare, will also be included in Nyatsoka’s fifth album Bountiful Harvest to be released later this year.

“The track Usatya was done to encourage people to trust in God during trying times. We are saying, even during these Covid-19 times, believers should not be shaken but maintain their position in Christ. The song is guided by biblical verses Psalms 91:5 and Mathew 10:7,” added Nyatsoka.

Mhere said he was ready to work with upcoming artistes in the country.

Nyatsoka has three albums that include Give Unto Jesus Vol 1 (2013) and Give Unto Jesus Volume 2 (2018) and Bethel (2020).

A holder of a Media and Society Studies degree, Nyatsoka has worked with renowned producer Charles Ayibeki, Dennis Makina and Nyasha Timbe.
