I have come across many religious sects that masquerade as Christians, who mimic the Christian faith, but are of a different Christ. They have an imitation of a Jesus Christ who is not of the Christianity we know. Let us start at the beginning, when the Creator spoke out the words that evolved into the separation of the Heavens and the Earth, and the creation of all the living and non-living things upon them. A number of sects disguised as Christians vehemently claim that Christ was already in existence at the time of creation. Really? To back up their arguments, they quote the spoken words of God in Genesis 1:26 which reads: “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”
They then stubbornly interpret the plural reference of the “we”, to mean that God was with Christ at the time of creation. There is another plural reference in Genesis 11:7, when the Almighty introduced many languages to confuse the humans who sought to be in competition with Him, which also reads: “Come, let us go down, and confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” Again these sects insist from the “us” plural reference that it was God speaking with Jesus Christ.
It is written in scriptures that the Lord our God from the dawn of time had angels, the likes of Gabriel or Michael, whom He uses as messengers to transmit His will. He communicates with His angels very frequently whenever He has missions to be executed. Communicating His plans with the angels is his normal habit of doing things.
No one can dispute this fact that He speaks with His angels, hence there are times when the Lord our God uses these plural references. However, some of our overzealous Christian “ancient sects” still want to maintain that God was speaking with Jesus Christ at creation, defying both our scriptures and recorded factual history. They are of a different Christ and of a different Christianity.
The birth of Jesus Christ is very well recorded in scriptures of the New Testament. Again, we see God’s angels actively at play transmitting messages about the birth of Christ from the Heavenly Father to both Mary, the biological mother and to Joseph, Mary’s husband. Let us revisit the documented history of the birth of Jesus Christ from Matthew 1:18-25. It reads: Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit; and her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit; she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins”.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophecy: “Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel (which means, God with us)”.
When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took his wife, but knew her not until she had borne a son; and he called his name Jesus (end of quote).
Now, my dear Christian folks, the Holy Spirit (God) spoke with his angel to communicate with Joseph. This was a little over two thousand years ago (33BC), just before the birth of Christ. If you still hold fast to that misrepresentation of our Christ, then you are worshipping a prehistoric Christ who clearly was not by then in existence. No amount of misconstrued indoctrination of such a false narrative of Jesus Christ’s presence at creation will ever hold water.

Mistaking the angels of God with Christ is a common error in Christianity, despite the New Testament scriptures being littered with a lot of angelic documented evidence. Angels factually predated mankind. Luke 1:26-31 also speaks of an angel carrying the message from God to the Virgin Mary. It reads: In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favoured one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus”.
Prior the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary, he had also been sent by God to Zechariah, father of John the Baptist, Christ’s torch bearer. After the angel had told Zechariah that his wife Elizabeth, would bear a son, to be named John, he did not believe it. Luke 1:19-21 reads: And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news. And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day these things come to pass, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time”. A point to note in this instance was the power of the Holy Spirit which the angels also possessed; in the same manner that Jesus Christ possessed the same powers of the Holy Spirit to perform miracles, derived from God the Father.
The main essence of this lecture is to try and convince those other Christian sects among us who steadfastly hold the view that Christ existed prior to the onset of creation; that their stance does not speak or match the reality. Jesus Christ was born here on Earth around 33BC, i.e. now two thousand and twenty one years after his death (2021AD). He lived on our planet for about 33 years only. He had a natural birth and a known recorded cause of death. He was human in nature, though born of the Holy Spirit (God). He did not exist prior to creation. Christianity is based on the pronounced words of God the Father, about the coming of His Son, Jesus Christ, born to Mary and Joseph. Christianity is about the life of Christ, of his teachings and the teachings of some of his apostles as compiled in the gospels of the New Testament. It is of Christ of the New Testament. Amen.
