HIGHLANDERS’ coach Kelvin Kaindu is feeling the pressure after his side dropped five points in their last two matches.
Bosso travel to Nyamhunga for another tricky Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie against ZPC Kariba tomorrow.
The Bulawayo giants were held to a draw by Arenel Movers before losing to FC Platinum which saw the team dropping to fourth on the log table.
Kaindu admitted he was under pressure and hopes his side could bounce back in the next match.
Prior to Arenel and FC Platinum matches, Highlanders beat Caps United before their first league defeat to Chicken Inn and a draw to Herentals.
“Pressure will always be there regardless of which position you are in. Football is a pressure game. What you need is to know how to manage the pressure. Yes, we have dropped on the log-standings. From the time that we started, we have been the team that has tried to be consistent in staying at the top of the log. We are three points behind the log leaders and hopefully we bounce back in the coming game,” Kaindu said.
Suspensions and injuries have haunted Kaindu of late with central defender Andrew Mbeba out of the ZPC Kariba game after picking up three yellow cards.
Against FC Platinum it was midfielder Melikhaya Ncube, who suffered the same fate.

Left-back Archford Faira missed last weekend’s game due to injury and Kaindu will miss him again tomorrow while Godfrey Makaruse is doubtful.
“So far our preparations have been OK. We are trying to see how we can plan in terms of logistics of travelling away to Kariba and then come back to play here mid-week. The response has been quite positive from everyone. We welcome Melikhaya [Ncube] who was on suspension and we are waiting to see how Godera [Makaruse] responds because he could not finish the last game but so far he is doing fine in training. We do not want to put a lot of pressure on him. We want him to fully recover. We are anticipating that he should be available in the midweek fixture,” he said.
Last week, Kaindu said his squad lacked depth following a defeat to FC Platinum.
Kaindu said his plans have been hindered by suspensions.
“It does affect you in one way or another. These are key players that have been playing regularly. Unfortunately, they go out because of suspension. You have to look out for other available players and also give a chance to others. But when you lose players because of suspension sometimes it gives you a disadvantage in selection,” the gaffer said.
After the ZPC match, Highlanders host high-riding Manica Diamonds at Barbourfields in a mid-week game.
