THEMBA Mbongeni Nkosi, aka DJ Euphonik, is set to come to Zimbabwe for a one off show. Coming from a whirlwind tour of Europe and the US where he received a multi-million pound endorsement deal from British carmaker Mini Cooper along with a DJ Excellence award in New York two weeks ago, it seems the world is the South African DJ’s oyster. According to DJ Euphonik Zimbabwe can expect “a full repertoire of fresh banging beats and blends” that has earned him worldwide recognition and the title of “DJ President”. “I believe that in order to stay relevant as a DJ, you need to keep up to speed with what’s going on in the industry, know your competition, research your music and always try to have your finger on the pulse of what the crowd wants.”The music, according to DJ Euphonik – who is also a South African radio station 5fm DJ – is a blend of house and hip hop which “dares to deflect from the norm, and pushes the beat as far as it can go”.The show will be held on Monday at Stars Nightclub and will also feature DJs T Bass and P Styles, along with Ireland-based DJ Slyde. – Staff Writer.
