DREAM LUCK: A Romanian man escaped with only minor injuries after he fell from a fourth floor window while he was asleep.Marius Purcariu, 32, from Arad, was found wrapped in a curtain on the bonnet of a car parked under his bedroom window.He said: “I remember turning off the TV and going to sleep around 2am. Then I heard noises and my wife was calling my name from the window. CARNIVOROUS PLANT: A carnivorous pitcher plant big enough to gobble up rats has been named in honour of British TV naturalist David Attenborough.The plant, discovered on the Philippine island of Palawan during a 2007 scientific expedition and now dubbed Nepenthes attenboroughii, is not so nice: Rodents and insects that fall into the “pitcher” can be trapped and slowly consumed by its flesh-eating enzymes. GLUED: A man was glued to a public toilet seat in far north Queensland in what police describe as a “sick joke”.Police, ambulance officers and fire crews were called to the 70-year-old man’s aid after he became stuck at the Cairns Central Shopping Centre toilets.Police say someone smeared strong glue over the toilet seat and the man had to be taken to the Cairns Base Hospital to have the seat removed. —— Msnbc.

SLOPPY ROBBER: A 34-year-old man is in custody after authorities say he gave a teller his account number and showed her his picture ID before robbing an Anchorage bank.The FBI says Jarell Paul Arnold of Anchorage is being held on federal bank robbery charges.The FBI alleges Arnold walked into an Alaska USA Federal Credit Union branch and inquired about the balance on his account, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
