A potential member applies with a photo and a brief profile. Over 48 hours, existing members of the opposite sex vote whether or not to admit them, the site said.Options are: “Yes definitely,” “Hmm yes, OK,” “Hmm no, not really” and “No definitely not.”The site was founded in 2002 in Denmark and went live across the globe last month. THIEVES in Germany stole a circus van — without realising there was a lion asleep in the back.They abandoned the vehicle after crashing into a road sign in the western city of Wuppertal. Police later had the van towed away to a depot — unaware that the five-year-old lion called Caesar was inside.Caesar appeared unhurt when a lion tamer arrived to reclaim him after Circus Probst had reported the theft.The thieves got away and may have been unaware of Caesar’s presence, say officers.A circus spokesman, Laurens Thoen, told German media that there was no indication on the van about its dangerous cargo.Caesar is reported to be “fine” and is due to perform again with the circus in Krefeld. — Ananova.com.
DRIVEN UP THE POLE: CRACKPOT planners have driven motorists up the pole — by leaving a 40ft pylon in the middle of a six-lane highway.The unmarked and unlit pole — in Zhengzhou, central China — has been the cause of dozens of accidents as unwary drivers smash into it. And road signs only a few yards from the pole show an arrow directing drivers right into it at 80km/hr.“We have complained to the council but they say it would cost too much to bury the cables underground so we are stuck with it,” said local resident Chang Feng, 33.The problem was caused when the road was widened and made worse when builders added an arrow less than 350 feet from the pole pointing straight at it.— Ananova.com.
