M-Net’s Face of Africa (Saturdays at 19:00 CAT) takes a different tack this week as our top 12 finalists prepare to jet off to Swahili Fashion Week in Dar es Salaam as top stylists, makeup artists and fashion director Juanita Daniel teach you how to look like a star with only seven items of clothing in your suitcase!Finalists have learnt everything from basic runway skills to tackling the challenges of cover-girl glamour –– the new series of Face of Africa delves into it all. All the drama of becoming a top model is showcased in full colour as some of the continent’s rising runway stars head into a whole new world of high fashion, high pressure modelling. And now, it’s your turn…While viewers are having their style tweaked and learning supermodel secrets, the top 12 Face of Africa finalists are preparing for Swahili Fashion Week and biding their time in the hope of realising their wildest fashion dreams at the series finale in Lagos in February 2010! The M-Net Face of Africa 2009 will walk away with a modelling contract from O Model Africa, US$50 000 in cash from M-Net, skincare products for 12 months from Iman Cosmetics and a trip to New York, courtesy of Arise magazine, to participate in New York Fashion Week.
