TV Sports channel Supersport yesterday carried a report that Chidzambwa could soon be filling the Free State post left vacant after Gordon Igesund resigned. Supersport’s website revealed that the Warriors mentor was spotted at Oliver Tambo International Airport on Wednesday in the company of Free State officials, sparking rumour that he could be negotiating a deal with the Bloemfontein-based club.Zifa chief executive Henrietta Rushwaya heightened the speculation yesterday when she told IndependentSport that Chidzambwa has been coaching the Warriors on part-time basis this year. “In 2010 we have not entered into any contractual obligation with him,” she said. “What I can only say is for 2010 we have no marriage with him.”In an interview in this weeks’ edition of our sister paper the Standard, Chidzambwa hinted that he was prepared to quit the Warriors job if he gets a good offer.
