The recital in the capital will be at the Harare International School Theatre at 4pm on Sunday, while the performance in Bulawayo will be at the Robert Sibson Hall at 7.30pm on November 16. In addition to the performance, he will also be promoting his latest CD, World Café, copies of which will be on sale to members of the audience. The album celebrates the diversity of the modern guitar, in a six-string global journey that includes music from the USA, Australia, France, Spain, Scotland, England, Turkey and South Africa. Featured works include Carlo Domeniconi’s hauntingly beautiful Koyunaba, Grace’s own transcription of Abdullah Ibrahim’s The Wedding and Cavatina by Stanley Myers (the theme from The Deer Hunter).KANNA Award winner for Best Male Artist of 2010, Grace is one of South Africa’s leading concert artists. He has appeared with all the major South African Orchestras, most recently in March 2010 at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens in a sold-out performance of Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and Pieter Daniel.
