Kennedy Ndebele, the Premier Soccer League chief executive officer said the decision was taken at the premiership indaba in Kwekwe yesterday.
The indaba also agreed that four teams would be relegated at the end of the season. The premiership’s disciplinary committee has been expanded from five to seven members.
The quorum of the committee remains at three. The committee comprise Aisha Tsimba, Vusi Vuma, Brighton Mudzamiri, Don Moyo and Lawrence Mlobane. The other members will be announced next week.
Ndebele added that they also had a meeting with the deputy Minister of Education, Sports, Arts and Culture Lazarus Dokora where they expressed disatisfaction at having to pay 20% levy and 6% to Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC).
“We told him that the levies we are paying to SRC and council were too high,” he said.

Meanwhile, Harare giants Dynamos’ Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for the National Sports Stadium was called off yesterday.
The AGM was called off due to the premiership indaba in Kwekwe.
The Dynamos meeting was expected to present the biggest test to board of directors chairman Richard Chiminya’s 14-year tenure at the helm of the club’s founding fathers.
A new board chairman was expected to be ushered into office following the expiry of Chiminya’s term of office.
