BY LESLEY WURAYAYI   ZIMBABWEAN professionals from all sectors of the economy will join the rest of the world in celebrating the International Project Management Day on Thursday.

More than 100 members and non-members of the Project Managers Institute of Zimbabwe (PMIZ) will converge at Harare’s Chapman Golf Club for the commemorations.

Public Works minister Joel Gabbuza, who will be the guest of honour, is expected to speak on the challenges facing the public and private sector in implementing projects.

The celebrations are aimed at motivating individuals and organisations to embrace project management as a strategic and viable tool for business success.

They will also facilitate a platform to network with leading project managers and learning latest global trends in project management.

Strategic planners and implementers, project managers for all disciplines — engineering, IT, telecoms, business, public and civil society are expected to attend the commemorations.
