By Albert MarufuZifa president Cuthbert Dube’s company Buymore Investments has never donated money to the association, but gave them as loans which need to be paid back.

This was revealed at the association’s extra ordinary meeting held in the capital yesterday.

Board member responsible for finance Elliot Kasu said the association will pay back the money as soon as their finances are in a healthy position.“Buymore Investments never donated money to the association but these are a loans and no interest is being charged. The debt is not appearing in the current report, but will appear in the 2011 report,” he said.

The same meeting also resolved that Zifa would float a proper tender to kit the Warriors following revelations that efforts to seal a deal with Puma hit a snag. Zifa had given the nation the impression that they had signed a deal with Puma to kit the Warriors, but it has since emerged that the deal was never penned.

“There will be a proper tender process for the kit supplier of the teams. We were never in a deal with Puma and this matter is being treated with urgency,” said communications officer Nicky Dhlamini-Moyo.

The assembly also ratified the suspension of the suspended duo of Patrick Hokonya and Gift Banda, but called for proper investigations.The country’s national teams’ technical teams have also been asked to present reports of the teams’ performance in the past year. Recommendations of whether to keep them or fire them will come from the reports.
