PSL clubs intensify preps for new season

By Our StaffCASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League clubs intensified preparations for the forthcoming season with a number of friendly matches being played yesterday.

The season is scheduled to start on March 18 with the traditional Charity shield match, which pits Dynamos against rivals Motor Action at the National Sports Stadium.

In yesterday’s friendly matches, defending champions Dynamos who were parading their final team for the 2012 season were held to a goalless draw by Monomotapa at Rufaro.

 

Motor Action, who are still to come to terms with their shock exit from the Confederation Cup also drew 3-3 against Blue Ribbon at Motor Action Sports Club.

CAPS United, who were playing their first friendly match in the capital this year, were also held to a goalless draw by Beitbridge-based Division One side Triple B.

Harare City, DSTV Rangers  judgement set for WednesdayThe judgement of the remaining Division One case which is before arbitration will be released on Wednesday.

Northern Region secretary Sweeny Mushonga confirmed to Standardsport that the Appeals Committee met yesterday but will meet again on Monday to finalise the matter.

Key witnesses in this matter, AMC and Eastern Region were cross eximined by both parties.
