Former Warriors skipper Benjani Mwaruwari will charter a plane for the African football stars invited for his testimonial match set for Saturday at the National Sports Stadium.

Flamboyance is set to characterise the match when the highly-paid who-is-who of the game on the continent invade Harare. The players, coming in from their respective bases in Europe, will group in South Africa on Friday before flying into the country aboard a private jet.

There will be royal treatment for the football icons who will be accommodated at three hotels in Harare. While some players might prefer to quickly go back to their bases soon after the game, match organisers are planning to take the remaining ones for a tour of the Victoria Falls.

Chairman of the organising committee, Tsaurai Muzanenhamo revealed that the stars would also take part in a variety of post-match entertainment activities.

“Mwaruwari has availed large sums of money for this match to take place. This is an occasion for Zimbabwe. We have to show that we have the capacity to host and organise big events,” Muzanenhamo said.

Muzanenhamo added that the Europe-based striker had already seeded more than a million dollars towards his foundation.“Mwaruwari and his associates whom I cannot disclose at the moment have already established seed money or capital in excess of US$1 million for the Foundation and that money does not have anything to do with this match.”
