The second highest ranked athletics coach on the continent hinted that all the renowned athletes know what to do when preparing for a big event like the National Youth Games.
“We have a large pool of potential athletes that the leadership has given us, but we are saying apart from those, there might be others who might feel that they have been left out, so we will be out for the next coming weeks doing our section processes. We still have much to offer to the athletics of this country,” added Mandaza who is also the head coach at Chabanga’s athletics academy.
“When I started this athletics academy, the only person I knew was going to help is this man (Mandaza), the only man in Zimbabwe to have raced against a horse. So I took him from his rural home and brought him back to athletics which he is used to at my new academy,” Chabanga said.
