Songbird Diana Samkange has signed a two-year marketing deal with South African record label, Ice ‘n Roses.

REPORT BT SIMBARASHE MANHANGO Ice ‘n Roses is owned by South Africa-based Zimbabwean singer and song writer, Enoch “Nox” Guni.

The label will facilitate and market all her tours and distribute her material.

Speaking to StandardLife&Style, Samkange said: “It is a great thing and I am happy about signing a deal with a company that has a good vision.

“Of late I haven’t been touring but concentrating on promoting my music locally. Now I believe it is the right time to embark on international tours and take my music outside the country.

“I am really looking forward to a good working relationship with Ice ‘n Roses and hoping that I get more slots to perform outside the country.”

In a separate interview, Nox said the deal was aimed at helping artists to get exposed to an international platform.

“The deal is set to provide a platform for other artists to excel and realise their fullest potential,” said Nox.

“We will be representing Diana and also do some online marketing with a full facilitation for her to tour internationally.”

“I want to make sure that I assist as many local Zimbabwean artists as possible, even if it means being the sole international agent for all young artists in the country.

“With this initiative in place, then we can expand the Ice ‘n Roses empire and also develop artists.”

Nox added that his record label was currently in talks with Heshi Mfeshi to sign its three artists that include urban grooves artist Leonard Mapfumo, Yoz Together and kwaito star Shinso.

Besides founding the record label, Nox also boasts of a private collection of casual and smart wear under the same banner.

Meanwhile, Nox and Samkange are on an exciting list of artists set to feature at the Lion Lager Beer Festival which is being organised by Delta Beverages.

Nigerian duo, P Square, will headline the festival.
