Macdonald Motsi’s brace in the 29th minute and 71st minute and Norest Mukwezareza strike eight minutes from time cancelled Willard Gondo and Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe’s early goals to give the Partson Ndabambi-coached side the win.
Rangers, who were second from bottom before yesterday’s match moved to position 13 having garnered 21 points while Gunners sit on position 14, two points behind.
However, with four teams set to be relegated at the end of the season, Blue Rangers will have more to do as they are four points behind 12th ranked Hwange.
Blue Rangers goalkeepers’ coach Christopher Ndonya praised his charges for their fighting spirit even when they were 2-1 down.
“We played very well and could have won the match by a huge score line had we utilised our chances. I am confident that we are going to survive relegation,” he said.
