The launch, under the name Eyahra Beauty Workshop (EBW), will be part of the Women in Jazz Festival, which runs from November 30 to December 2.

The products will include facial creams, perfumes, hypo-allergenic care range like facial creams and scrubs, pregnancy belly range and anti-ageing creams.

Formulated for African climate and skin, EBW has compositions that have all been tested and confirmed to be suitable for use. Mathazia told StandardLife&Style it has taken over two years of hard work to come up with the products.

“There was a lot of travelling involved as I had to hop from one country to the other and numerous costs of freight, duty and accommodation,” she said.

“I am happy that what I invested in and believed in is finally due to bear fruit. “EBW is all about natural beauty, health and wellness. I have used everything on the range and, being a person who grew up with numerous allergic burst ups, I am satisfied with the outcome.” She said her different allergies as a kid influenced her to focus on health products.

Some of the products have a striking packaging that is made up of wooden outer casings and silver and gold refillable containers for fragrances.

The silver container is for the Eyahra by Eyahra, which was initially presented publicly at the launch of her album Jah Worx last year, while gold is for Maria by Eyahra.

Josh Hozheri, director of Jazz 105, said they had partnered with Eyahra to celebrate women who are doing well for themselves in a male-dominated world.

“It will be a brilliant experience for the ladies to work with Eyahra, an artist who has diversified and is doing well for herself,” he said.

“The most important thing however, is that this is a women affair. Let the party begin so we can all see what the ladies have in store.” Meanwhile, Jazz 105 has also partnered with Robertson Winery for the festival, a development Hozheri is ecstatic about.

He said the partnership had opened a new chapter for their jazz festivals, which would no longer have to struggle for sponsorship.
