CINCINNATI — Two Zimbabwean men are poised to accept plea agreements in an Ohio-based tax fraud case that prosecutors say netted them and five others up to US$10 million. Report by Zimdiaspora.com

Court records filed last week show that Kudzaishe Bungu and Tawanda Marimbire have reached agreements with prosecutors. Bungu has a December 17 hearing to finalise the agreement. Marimbire’s hearing is set for January 10.

Under his deal, Bungu would face up to 10 years in prison while other charges are dropped in exchange for his cooperation. He had faced up to 60 years in prison.

Details of Marimbire’s agreement haven’t been released.
