Having been included in Bafana Bafana’s squad to take on the Central African Republic (CAR) in a World Cup qualifier in Cape Town next week, Oldham Athletic midfielder Dean Furman received a further boost on Thursday by signing a loan deal with English League One leaders Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season.

Furman — who made his debut for Bafana in a friendly against Brazil in September last year — said that he was excited at the prospect of joining the Yorkshire outfit.
“I’m delighted to be here,” he said.
“It’s a very exciting prospect for me, I’ve played at the Keepmoat a couple of times before and it’s a great stadium.
“The club is top of the league and is very ambitious in looking to get back into the Championship. I’m delighted to be here and hopefully I can help that cause.”
