BLACK Rhinos suffered an energy sapping defeat at the hands of Chicken Inn, in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer league match at Gwanzura yesterday.
Black Rhinos …0 Chicken Inn… (0) 1
REPORT BY BY ALBERT MARUFU
Marshal Marima headed in the priceless goal in the 56th minute after getting to the end of Tonisani Sibelo’s cross from the right.
Sibelo, the provider of the goal, however turned into a villain during extra time after being shown a second yellow card by Zvishavane referee Rugaro Kusosa for time wasting.
However, for the first 17 minutes of the game, Black Rhinos senior player Lazurus Muhoni assumed the head coach’s role after the trio of head coach Arthur Tutani, assistant Ndega Matsika and medic Clemence Vembo were barred from sitting on the bench. The trio had failed to produce evidence, showing that their licences were being processed by Zifa. They were only allowed back after the referees received confirmation from Zifa offices that their fees had been paid.
According to a circular from Zifa, they should bar members of the technical team who would have failed to produce receipts showing that their licences were being processed from sitting on the bench as from yesterday.
Chicken Inn’s win saw them moving to position five with 16 points and their coach Mandla Mpofu said he was happy with the win.
