On Thursday, the musician signed a memorandum of understanding with the humanitarian organisation at Zim Café.

Speaking at the occasion the ZRCS secretary general Maxwell Phiri said they have decided to work with the young musician and Zim Café in assisting those who are vulnerable in our society.

“We have decided to partner with Zim Café and Tryson Chimbetu to work with them in assisting those who are vulnerable and we have signed a memorandum of understanding with the two parties,” said Phiri. He added they were happy with how the two sides had shown interest in working with the organisation.

“I feel working with the organisation is another way of giving back to the community as an artist,” said Chimbetu.

He said he would work closely with the organisation in assisting the youth.

An official from Zim Café said they were happy with the confidence artists and organisations were showing in the venue.

“We hosted Peter Moyo’s album launch on Wednesday and we are proud to be associated with this noble initiative between Chimbetu and Zimbabwe Red Cross Society. We will support the cause and ensure Chimbetu carries out his role with ease,” said the official.

The new role will see Chimbetu working with his mentor Alick Macheso, who is the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society Humanitarian Ambassador.
