The scenes from Black Bird’s new video, Waiting for Love seem to have added weight to rumours that the two artistes are an item.

The two share intimate moments to complement emotional love lyrics on the single that features on Black Bird’s upcoming album titled Black Excellence to be released on November 27.

The social media has been awash with rumours that Black Bird and Tatea have been in love for some time with many comments suggesting the video is more real than acted.

Black Bird told Standardlife&style she had so much fun with Tatea while on set, as he certainly kept her entertained and comfortable.

She said she had to make the video as close to reality as possible. The musician, however, refused to shed much light on their relationship.

“I know people are talking about me and Tatea,” said Black Bird. “We are very comfortable around each other but in terms of all the whispers about us being in a relationship, I cannot comment right now.

“Tatea is a focussed artiste who is doing alright in terms of his visibility. I am also very serious about my brand and I enjoy working with other focused professionals.”

Black Bird said when she made the video, which was directed and edited by Bulawayo-based Andy Sobhuza a.k.a. Andy Cutta, it was meant to be authentic and she had been advised to include someone with whom she had an existing chemistry.

She said Tatea was her “natural” choice as they had previously worked together in the past and discovered that they actually enjoy hanging out together. Black Bird is a single mother of two and Tatae is a bachelor.

Asked to comment on the alleged affair Tatea said: “On the relationship issue I have no comments, the video is our collaboration and we want to focus on that.

“We got to know each other even more during the shoot because we were stuck together for 20 hours straight,” she said.

The video has a creative script and world-class cinematography, quality production and attention to detail which most local videos lack.
