The officer is accused of uttering the words to two prison officers following a misunderstanding at Chinhoyi Prison Complex two weeks ago.

Police national spokesperson, Paul Nyathi said the case was under consideration and the law will take its course.

“There is nothing that will be swept under the carpet, the issue is under consideration and is being handled by the officer commanding Mashonaland West,” said Nyathi

Nyathi said the issue will be treated like any other case, despite the fact that it involves uniformed people.

Some of the cadets who join the ZPS do not have mathematics at O’Level since it is not a prerequisite like in other government ministries and institutions. Zimondi could not be reached for comment last week.
