City Sports Bar will today launch a new concept named GMO Sundays.

According the management at the venue, the idea was brought about by the need to cater for audiences like soccer players, who in most instances, cannot be part of the fun on Fridays and Saturdays.
“We have called it a GMO Sunday since it is Sunday that has been made to look like a Friday,” said a manager from the venue.
“Soccer players in most cases are in camp on Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday is the only day they can go out for fun. So we do not want them to miss out on what others would have enjoyed while they are in camp.”
The venue that has been on a revitalisation drive, will start off the programme with Tryson Chimbetu tonight.
The young musician who was recently deserted by some of his experienced band members said he was happy to be returning to the venue after a long time.
“It has been a long time since we played at the venue and we are happy to be making a return,” said Chimbetu.
“That some band members have left is not an issue as we have always had stand-by guitarists.”
