World Navi — a company involved in selling second-hand cars from Japan — has transformed Zifa Northern Region into a viable league and seeks to do the same with the Eastern Region through various initiatives that will be channelled through Masvingo City FC. World Navi managing director Stanley Makombe said the reason for partnering Masvingo City FC was spurred by the realisation that Masvingo was a strategic city in terms of business.

“Masvingo is a strategically positioned city in terms of business and as a result, we are encouraged by the financial benefit that will come through the team,” he said.

He said fans were critical stakeholders in any sport in the world, yet sponsors sidelined them and World Navi was seeking to reward them through raffles where fans would win cars from as little as a dollar.

“We seek to transform Eastern Region through various programmes that we will channel through the team. This will include raffle draws where the community and supporters will be able to win cars by just buying a ticket for $1.”
