Tsholotsho (1) 1
MIDFIELDER Bruno Madanhire scored the only goal of the match as visitors Tsholotsho collected maximum points against Harare City to put pressure on coach Taurai Mangwiro in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro yesterday.

Lizwe Sweswe’s charges beat the Sunshine City Boys in their own backyard for the second time running after they won by an identical score line in the same fixture last year.
Former Dynamos coach Paulo Jorge Silva was part of the crowd that witnessed Harare City’s humbling.
Mangwiro’s inconsistent side succumbed to a second loss in six league matches.
“We were our worst enemies, letting them surge ahead in the first half and if you allow visitors to take the lead, they grow in confidence,” Mangwiro said after the match. “We do not want to despair yet. We need to continue to be positive. Hopefully, we will have that fine run and pull a string of successive wins and it would breathe a lot of life in our campaign.”
On the other hand, Sweswe applauded his players for sticking to the game plan.
“It was a tough game but we had planned very well and our plan worked very well. We are a bit experienced now and our players are having that confidence to play especially when you have a game plan and you stick to it,” he said
Tsholotsho dominated the early exchanges in the game and were duly rewarded when Madanhire beat a static Harare City defence to get to the end of Simbarashe Gorogodyo’s cheeky over-the-top pass and dinked the ball past an advancing Tafadzwa Dube after just five minutes.
The hosts struggled to come back into the match, failing to produce a meaningful chance the whole of the first half.
In the second half Mangwiro’s men were more organised, especially in midfield but failed to break the Tsholotsho defence line.
And when they did, Chang Mariyoni acrobatically denied substitute Kudakwashe Kumwala soon after the hour mark, while Raphael Manuvire scooped a glorious opportunity while going for the spectacular.
