The talismanic Zimbabwe international put pen to paper yesterday in a new deal that keeps him at the Belgian club a further three-and-a-half years.

“I am very pleased with the confidence showed in me when I got here,” Musona said. “KV Oostende gave me the chance to prove myself really in Europe … I feel good here and I am pleased that I can stay here longer.”

His agent Paschalis Tountouris stated that this move was the ideal step to revive his career. He joined Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali at the Belgian club

The 26-year-old joined the Belgium First Division A outfit on a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee at the beginning of 2015 season following an unsuccessful stint at German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim.

Musona has been excellent for the De Kustboys since joining — he managed to score 13 league goals in his first full season with them and has already bagged six in 13 appearances during the current campaign.
