TBF founder and CEO Chengetai Mashiringwani, popularly known as Boss Chenge, told The Standard Style that TBF had grown into a large movement spread across the country as they sought to promote varied talents of youths in the music, modelling and graphic designing fields among others.

“It’s a growing movement focusing on endorsing positive skills and talents and also engages in charitable activities and offering sponsorship opportunities and stage slots to upcoming artists,” he said.

Boss Chenge said they were busy on the local entertainment venues with events lined up at popular night spots in Harare such as Londoners and the Volt.

On Friday TBF held a photo shoot event at Harare Gardens in the capital.

“I became a promoter because of the love and appreciation of the entertainment industry and my love to expose different talents,” he said.

“My family and the fact that I was a nurse made me see the greater path of life and society, which made me realise I can do more for the community than to myself.”

Founded in 2009 in Australia where Boss Chenge trained as a nurse, TBF has been involved in the promotion of international artists such as Dermaco and Elephant Man from Jamaica who perform ed in Zimbabwe.

Besides promoting artists, Boss Chenge takes time to manage his family businesses and attributes his success to prayer and team work.

“We have a large number of artists and we have more coming every day. We are promoting dancehall and hip-pop, at the same time there’s room for other genres as talent is not man-given but God-given,” he said.

Boss Chenge is upbeat about the success of his latest single to soon come out of his stable, Wakanyanya, done by upcoming RnB singer, songwriter and creative dancer Lorretta Nonsikelelo Ndebele.

“Wakanyanya by Lorreta is an Afro-pop song which is going to be a hit and it also features B Rock and Gibz Meck. We also have Huby Blacke’s new song Iwewe,” under our stable he said.

With six singles so far under her belt at a young age, the 17-year-old Loretta, who is one of the brightest prospects for TBF said her father supported her in the production of the song and at one time almost spent an entire night working with her to perfect the sound.

“I can’t say much but Wakanyanya is a bomb, believe me and the reason why I am so excited about this song is because my dad was involved,” he said.

“We spent almost the whole night… he was listening and correcting me on my notes and the worst part was when he told me to re-record, though it was for the best.”

The multi-talented rapper, singer, dancer and commercial model also plans to explore the acting side.

She is a fan of Ammara Brown, Queen Vee, Cal_Vin, while Nicki Minaj and Beyonce are her favourite international musicians.
