An abusive woman allegedly assaulted her neighbour until she had a miscarriage, accusing her of snatching her husband.

Florence Chigwanda from Dzivarasekwa appeared before Harare Civil Court magistrate Lazini Ncube seeking a protection order against Sibongile Mubvumbi, whom she said was in the habit of assaulting and insulting her each time they met.
Chigwanda claimed Mubvumbi regularly assaulted her while accusing her of having an affair with her husband.
Chigwanda admitted she was once in a relationship with Mubvumbi’s husband before she moved to Dzivarasekwa.
“I was in a relationship with her husband some months ago. He told me he had left his wife,” she said. “I was living in Chitungwiza at that time and did not know he was lying. “
Chigwanda said she suffered a miscarriage due to the assaults.
Mubvumbi on the other hand, said her husband had lived with Chigwanda for five months.
